Dr. Vladimir Khantsis

A  graduate  of  the University  of  Southern California (USC) School  of  Dentistry,  Dr. Vladimir Khantsis  practiced  in Los Angeles,  CA  before  coming to Indianapolis. He completed his General Practice  residency at IU Hospital. Dr. Khantsis worked as a clinical instructor at USC and IU Schools  of Dentistry.

He lives in Indianapolis with his wife of 18 years and two children. He enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with his family.

       Being a practicing dentist for 15 years, Dr. Khantsis has an extensive background in many areas of dentistry. But his true love, passion and main interest is dental implants. Dr. Khantsis completed post-graduate training in Dental Implantology at Medical College of Georgia.  Dr. Khantsis is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Society of Osseointegration, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

      For the implant procedure to be successful, it is extremely important that the dentist understands fundamental principles of oral biology, prosthetics, and biomechanics. Usually, an Oral Surgeon or a Periodontist will place an implant and then a patient goes back to his dentist for a final restoration. And if an Oral Surgeon or a Periodontist do not have a definitive treatment plan from a general dentist regarding final restoration, an implant may be placed incorrectly which will present problems for a dentist to restore it.  That is why, it is beneficial for a patient when only one doctor does the treatment, starting from treatment planning, placing implants and restoring them. Dr. Khantsis does it all himself and he truly believes that this is the best way to do it.

      I have worked for Dr. K for almost a year now and absolutely love it! It is really hard to find an office that "fits you", but I'm glad to say I have finally found that place and I really think any patient that walks into our office will feel the same. I enjoy learning more and more about the dental field everyday. I have been crossed trained, therefore I can answer any questions you may have! I look forward to meeting you! :)
